about
Albee yeend
I began my career as a Norland Nanny which involved caring for children and organising everything for them. It also included travel to beautiful places and that is where the love of foreign travel began…
I then spent five summers cooking for clients in Greece and four winters in Verbier where my love of great food was established, along with skiing!
My travel wanderlust took me off around the world taking in twelve countries over twelve months. I then decided to settle in Botswana for a couple of years where I ran the renowned Jack’s Camp, followed by a couple of years in Zambia, working at Tongabezi and Sausage Tree Camp. This is where my love for Africa really took off and having worked for many Travel Specialists over the last 20 years it was during 2019 that I decided to set up Albee’s Africa.
Apart from visiting over 20 countries in Africa, as I have visited every continent (apart from Antarctica) I have since expanded my itineraries to include worldwide destinations, of which there are some fantastic places to explore.
I am passionate about photography and am never found without my long lens whether photographing the Malachite Kingfisher in Botswana or the wonderful lives of people in Africa.
My other passion is silversmithing and when not travelling I can be found in my Cotswolds studio creating bespoke jewellery inspired by my travels and beachcombing.
I have a home in Plettenberg Bay close to the long sandy Robberg beach overlooking the Indian Ocean which is where I love to be when not travelling for work.
I have been organising specialist holidays for over 20 years and because of my extensive travel throughout Africa I can match clients to properties that I know they will enjoy.
Please do contact me and I would be happy to arrange a call or a visit and to chat about your ideal holiday.
